Medicare Part D plans send out a monthly "Explanation of Benefits" (or EOB) letters to all of their members.
The EOB letter shows your recent spending, the phase of your coverage, and the amount “to-be-spent” prior to moving to the next phase of your coverage.

If you wish to determine your current prescription costs or spending, telephone the Member Services department of your Part D plan and ask where you are relative to the Coverage Gap.
