Please contact the Medicare prescription drug plan Member Services department (Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage plan) directly to receive your replacement Member ID card.
The toll-free number for Member Services is printed on most of the printed information you received from your Medicare plan (plan enrollment or membership information, Summary of Benefits, Evidence of Coverage, monthly Explanation of Benefits letter, Annual Notice of Change letter).
If you still cannot find the telephone number for your Medicare plan, please telephone Medicare at 1-800-633-4227, choose the option to speak with a Medicare representative and then ask the representative to provide the contact information for your Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage plan.
When you call, the Member Services representative can also provide you with your Medicare drug plan Membership information:
- Member ID,
- Group ID,
- Rx BIN, etc.
With these four numbers you can go to a network pharmacy and fill your prescriptions while you await the arrival of your new ID card.
For more information about getting your prescription without your Member ID card, please see our article:I enrolled into a new Medicare Part D plan and still have not received my Member ID card. What should I do?
