You can get help comparing or joining Medicare drug plans:
- Visit www.medicare.gov on the web and get personalized
information. Under "Search Tools," select "Compare Medicare Prescription Drug Plans" or "Compare Medicare Health Plans and Medigap Policies in Your Area." These tools can help you find which plans in your area cover your prescriptions and which pharmacies you can use to fill prescriptions.
- Call your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) for free personalized health insurance counseling. See page 64 for your state’s SHIP telephone number.
- Call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). TTY users should call 1-877-486-2048.
This Website, Q1Medicare.com, also offers many tools to assist you in finding a Medicare Part D plan in your area.
Tip: Even if you don’t use a lot of prescription drugs now, joining a Medicare drug plan helps make sure you have coverage for your future needs.
