Yes. Some Medicare Part D prescription drug plans cover, not only brand-name and generic prescription drugs, but also so-called "
Bonus Drugs"
not usually covered by the Medicare Part D program, such as:
- B Complex w/Vitamin C
- Cyanocobalamin
- Folic Acid
- Levitra
- Mephyton
- Multiple Vitamin Injection
- Viagra (or other ED medications)
- Over-the-Counter (OTC) medications
Please note that payments for these "Bonus" or "Supplemental" Drugs – made by you or your drug plan – may be treated differently as compared to other Medicare Part D drug payments.
For example, "Bonus Drug" purchases may not count toward your
Initial Coverage Limit (ICL) or your
True Out of Pocket Cost (TrOOP), and so these drugs may
not affect when you enter or leave your Coverage Gap (Donut Hole) - and may
not receive a
Donut Hole discount.
Please note: The medications below were formerly Bonus Drugs but are now included on
many Medicare Part D plan formularies.

Please also note that we
do not include non-Part D "Bonus Drugs" or "Supplemental Drugs" in our
Formulary Browser or Q1Rx
Drug Finder
tools since they do not affect your Medicare Part D plan's the Initial
Coverage Limit or total out-of-pocket spending (TrOOP) limit.
