About 10 business days. Usually you will receive your "Welcome" information - including your new Member ID card from your Medicare plan within 7 to 10 business days - after Medicare approves your enrollment application.

Annual Election Period or annual Fall Open Enrollment Period, new Medicare Part D plan or Medicare Advantage plan members should plan on a couple weeks before receiving information from their newly selected Medicare Part D prescription drug plan (or Medicare Advantage plan).

If you have not received your Member ID and need prescriptions - you should contact your Medicare plan's Customer Service or Member Services representatives using the toll-free number found on your enrollment information or any of your plan's printed materials.
