I have not received my Medicare plan premium coupon book, should I just send a check?
No. If you have recently enrolled in a Medicare drug plan - you will have had the opportunity during the enrollment process to choose how you will make your monthly premium payments (assuming your Medicare plan has a premium).
A Medicare plan will offer several methods of payment such as deducting the premiums automatically from your Social Security benefit check - or deducting the premiums from from your banking account - or the company may provide you with a coupon book so you can send in monthly premium payments.

What options do I have for paying my Medicare drug plan premiums?
If you chose to make premium payments using monthly payment coupons - and have not received your Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage plan's monthly premium coupon book, you should contact your chosen Medicare plan's Member Services department and a Member Services representative can tell you whether your plan has sent the coupon book, and, if necessary, the representative can arrange for another coupon book to be sent.
Bottom Line: Do not just mail a premium payment check to your Medicare plan - wait for the coupon book or arrange another form of premium payment with your Medicare plan's Member Services representative.
Question: How do I contact my Medicare plan?
The toll-free telephone
number for your Medicare plan's Member Services department is found on your
Member ID and any printed information that you have already received
from your plan.
If you cannot find your plan’s contact information, we also have Member
Service telephone numbers for most all Medicare Part D plans in our
Medicare Part D Plan Finder -
PDP-Finder.com – just choose your state
and click on the plan name.
We have the same Member Services contact information on our Medicare
Advantage plan coverage pages (start with
MA-Finder.com and enter your
Zip and then click on the plan name you wish to reach) – the Member
Service’s telephone number is listed at the top of the plan detail page.
If you are still having problems finding the
Member Services number, please call Medicare at 1-800-633-4227
(1-800-Medicare) and choose the option to speak with a representative or
say "representative" during the recorded messages. You can then ask
the Medicare representative to find the contact information for your
Medicare plan.
Reminder: Verify your mailing address when speaking with your Medicare plan
Please verify with the Member Services representative that your home or
mailing address is correctly entered in the Medicare plan records - your
Medicare plan's coupon payment book may have been sent to the wrong
address.
Changing your method of premium payment
If you do not want the additional stress or effort of sending monthly
checks and coupons to your Medicare Part D plan, you may wish to
consider changing your premium payment method to be automatically
deducted from your Social Security check each month. A Member Services
representative from your Medicare plan can also help you change the
method that you make your monthly premium payments.
