You have two options:
You can select a new Medicare Part D plan that covers all of your medications.
Your other option is to request a formulary exception -- by which you, with the assistance of your prescriber, make a formal request to your Medicare Part D plan to have a particular medication added to your personal formulary. If your request is denied, you have the right to appeal your plan's decision.

Medicaid and "Extra Help" recipients may be able to use the Dual-Eligible Special Enrollment Period to change Medicare Part D plans throughout the year. Beginning in 2025, the ability for Extra Help beneficiaries to change plans during the plan year will depend on whether your Medicare plan is a stand-alone Part D plan or a Medicare Advantage plan. Learn more about the timing for the Dual-Eligible SEP. Your newly selected plan will take effect on the first day of the month following your enrollment. You can use our DrugFinder to compare Medicare Part D plans by coverage for a specific drug.
